NeuroCampus/ViCE Workshop on Virtualized Research Environments

On 08.06.2017 the Bernstein Center Freiburg will host a joint workshop of the NeuroCampus project and the ViCE project regarding Virtualized Research Environments. There will be short focus presentation, followed by discussions and hands-on-sessions on the federated services bwCloud, bwLehrpool and bwHPC offered by the computing center and it's partners. The presentations of the computing center services are short and meant to encourage discussion and hands on experience. Interested scientists are free to join and leave at any time they wish ("hop on - hop off"). The presentations will be repeated in the afternoon session.

Journées lycéens 2017

On 18.05.2017, in the framework of Eucor and Neurocampus, school students from Strasbourg and Freiburg were invited to jointly attend scientific lectures to get an insight into potential fields for their future studies and work, with a special focus on and opportunities offered by the inter-regional cooperations in the upper rhine valley.

Since 2013, the Centre de Calcul de l'Universite de Strasbourg organises an annual seminar in collaboration with the Lycée Marguerite Yourcenar in Erstein near Strasbourg. The students are given scientific lectures to get an insight into potential fields for their future studies and work.

In 2017, using Neurocampus and Eucor as inter-regional frameworks for cooperation in the upper rhine valley, the event took place at the university of Freiburg and students from the German-French Gymnasium in Freiburg were invited to attend the lectures jointly with the French students.

NEMO Maintenance on 22.02.2017

The maintenance is prompted by a functional upgrade to the cooling system of the hosting environment. The downtime will be used to apply all pending software and hardware upgrades to NEMO.

Nemo will be down for maintenance on 22.02.2017. We will make good use of this externally triggered downtime by applying all pending software upgrades to NEMO. Job scheduling will be suspended during the maintenance. Login and access to your files will not be possible during the maintenance.

You can submit jobs until the downtime starts (22.02.2017, 06:00 AM). Please note that jobs projected to finish after the downtime starts will be blocked. Your jobs should run after the downtime is complete.
