NEMO is #214 on Top500 list of supercomputers
The new Top500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers was released on 20.06.2016 during the International Supercomputing Conference in Frankfurt. The new bwForCluster NEMO in Freiburg entered the list on position 214.
The two new bwForClusters NEMO (Freiburg, #214) and BinAC (Tübingen #413) conclude the innovation cycle regarding entry-level HPC resources (Tier-3) for researchers at universities in Baden-Württemberg.
Additionally, more experienced HPC users can apply for HPC resources on the Tier-2 HPC supercomputer ForHLR II in Karlsruhe. Congratulations to the colleagues in Karlsruhe who made it to rank #125 of the Top500 list.
